2 Corinthians 5-7 Walking by faithGood morning, this is Michael De Rosa and today we are continuing to talk about FAITH.

My text is 2 Corinthians 5:7

for we walk by faith, not by sight—

This verse reminds me of the one too many retorts that walking by faith is a crutch to escape one’s problems

Well, I agree…if that person represses his struggles, or never questions God’s word, or donning a plastic smile in the face of adversity.

But, for the person walking by Biblical faith it takes insurmountable courage to live:

BECAUSE you will need to frequently look down the barrel of discouragement, as you are continually reminded that while this life will not last forever, there is still God’s clarion call to us and through to see our friends and family reconciled to God in Christ.

This type of faith-walking is undergirded with the assurance of Christ’s love being stamped upon every step we take.

Living by what we see will bring needless pain

But walking by faith will open up your horizens to live like King’s kids.
