matthew-6-21-the-treasures-of-the-heart_edited-3Good Morning, this is Michael De Rosa. Let’s look at those things we value. My text is Matthew 6:19-21

19 “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal; 21 for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

God leaves NO MIDDLE GROUND for us to hold onto our affections while declaring our faith in His Son.

And, we don’t like it for there are things our hearts are inclined towards which are not centered on God.

There is no way through this dilemna, except through the pain so our focus at this point is crucial. Think about this:

That Self of ours which is hanging onto a treasure which needs to be released is getting all the support it needs from the Realm of Hell itself, and so what is happening is that the very treasure Self is clutching desperately onto is the very hook that is being pulled closer to the very pit of Hell.

Let it go…before it is too late.
