Good morning, this is Michael De Rosa, and today I want to look at the importance of Growing in our Christian Faith and my text will be Hebrews 5:14, which reads:
But solid food is for the mature, who because of practice have their senses trained to discern good and evil.
Unless we discipline ourselves to press in to know right from wrong, we will forever be confused about the direction that God is wanting to lead us, and we will be unstable in all our ways.
We must move past simply using the time of the sermon as sufficient for our devotional time.
We must stop only reading devotional books about the Bible, and get to reading the Bible itself in order to know what the Bible means to our current situation.
We need to stop riding on the coat tails of others’ prayers, and roll up our sleeves to enter the throne room of God for ourselves, to experience that he gives grace and mercy to help us in our time of need.
Unless we do such things, my friends, we will never partake of he solid food that God has for us.
How are you training your senses to know right from wrong?
Blessings on Your Journey,
-Michael
