Good Morning, this is Michael De Rosa and today I want to talk about “the real world”, and my text will be Hebrews 13:14
For this world is not our permanent home; we are looking forward to a home yet to come.
I recently returned from a Christian Camp, Joni and Friends Family Retreat Center, which has been dubbed a slice of heaven by those who attend. And, yet, when our week together draws to a close, it is not uncommon to hear people talking about ‘going back into the real world’
With such phrases, we are unwittingly suggesting that the world we live in from 9-5 is a much closer representation to what we just need to accept, namely all the problems that evil wreak upon us, and that we just need to do the best we can to get through it all so that one day we get to go to heaven.
Well, that sounds like a dreaded existence to me.
For just as God sent His Son to be the light of True Reality into this world, God wants the same for us in order to show this world that is passing away the permanence of God’s plan.
Start living the adventure of a lifetime by recognizing that God’s standard of abundant living is what the real world is all about
Blessings on your Journey
-Michael
