Good Day, this is Michael De Rosa the habit of silence.
In Psalm 46:10 it states:
“Cease striving and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”
We live in world that bombards with sounds and sights, sensations, and smells that easily draw away from God’s call upon our lives for that particular day.
Instead of God, we have a filtered down version of the Almighty that is more accommodating to our life experiences, and if we are not careful the very idea of worshiping God as He portraits Himself in the Bible becomes a scandal.
And, God’s response to all this is
STOP IT!
Stop trying to figure Me out
Stop your busyness so we can talk
And just know that I am God.
Experience My presence
Marvel at My majesty
BE STILL:
For…regardless of what you do,
or how you try to figure the life I gave you out,
I will be exalted.
I will be lifted up.
I will be honored for who I am.
Today, enter into My rest. Let today be the day of new beginnings.
