If you ever wanted to know how to pray, listen to Jesus’ answer. It just might be something that you did not expect.
In Luke 11:2, we read:
“When you pray, say: ‘Father, hallowed be Your name.
Hallowed by Your name is more than an assertion that God’s name is holy; rather, Jesus is telling us to respectfully implore God to make His name holy in us.
Holy…in…us. Let’s think about that
God’s holiness meets
our humanity,
our struggles,
our problems,
our confusion!
He meets us where we are in order to show us our immense need for Him so that we can follow him more closely and be better disciples.
Now that can just mess with the way we pray.
Might we become a bit more attuned to what God needs to and wants to address in our own lives before we start praying for all the needs around us?
Blessings on your Journey
