Today I want to talk about our plans, and my text will be Proverbs 27:1

Proverbs 27:1:

Do not boast about tomorrow,
For you do not know what a day may bring forth.

I like to plan things out. It has helped me since childhood to keep on track, and yet, unless I understand how God sees the bigger picture of my day’s activities, my plans become very short sighted and ultimately defeating.

Since boasting or bragging is communicating to others the greatness of our own abilities, we must be on guard to ward off even boastfully smug thoughts about our own proficiency, for as a man thinks, he will begin to veer down that path.

Now, you may well think yourself at a crossroad as to how, then, to map out your day. Allow me to give you one general principle as to what to do:  PRAY

That is, pray while not seeing the day as your day, but the day that God has made. Then be receptive and responsive to God leading you

Then, at the end of the day, ask God how it went!
