Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice!

Philippians 4:4 NASB

"ReJoice" made by self in wordartI had a computer problem the other day that shut my system down. And almost as quickly as the problem came, so did this verse, and I was challenged, again, to see how rejoicing could be done in the midst of my problem.

So…let me tell you what I learned, again. And hopefully it will help you too.

  1. There are no qualifiers in this verse. Paul does not tell us that we can only rejoice in certain situations, but not in others.

  1. We are admonished to rejoice IN THE LORD, not in the problem

So, that is what I did. And…now…this is what it looked like:

My negative feelings wanted to take center stage, but I simply said ‘no’. I could dwell on better thoughts.

Then, I considered the Lord’s life and how He handled problems in the wake of His mission

Sure this was hard to do but I also knew it was not Impossible and I hung on to this.

So in closing, look to Jesus…regardless. You can do it BECAUSE he has already given you everything you need to do it!

I hope this helps you.

Blessings on your journey
