With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints,
Praying for others can not be disconnected from praying for ourselves.
For only when we are fully aware of God hearing us in our prayers will be, then begin to know how to identify with the concerns of others
And all this is facilitated by prayer in the Spirit. He, alone, gives us the direction, the empathy, and the motivation to pray.
Thus, as this Scripture notes, we need to persevere BUT it is not easy to spend time in prayer for others for such things as clock watching can easily distract us. Yet, when we consider the bigger picture of our brothers and sisters’ concern, namely that the Enemy of our Souls does everything he can to use that concern to cause us to drift from God’s love, this -hopefully- will spur us on toward praying for others.
