Wait for the Lord and keep His way, and He will exalt you to inherit the land; when the wicked are cut off, you will see it.
You might not think this promise holds when you look at the landscape of our country, and yet, the good news is…and always has been… that one day the Wicked will be cut off, driven out, destroyed.
Now this verse could have a two fold meaning, namely it could reference inheriting the land before us here and now, or coming into our heavenly home. Either way, it will only be good.
But there is something more here: namely, Waiting on God for this inheritance. Now such waiting does not mean becoming a couch potato Christian. Rather, this comes about by intentionally focusing on Him in order to obey Him in all decisions of life.
As you wait for your inheritance, Christian, Are you discovering the Joy of waiting upon God?
Or, have you chosen to worry, fret, fear, grow discouraged because your attention is diverted to anything else but God
What do you decide, Christian?
