Ephesians 4:5

We have only one Lord, one faith, and one baptism.

If it is true that we only have one Lord, one Master, why are we allowing other things and people to take His place?

Our dilemma, I believe, is rooted in an infatuation with our selfs. Namely, we think that unless all is going right for us, we have legitimate reason to sulk.  Instead, the faith God gives is to believe Jesus in that h has shown us God’s best in how to fully live.

Unfortunately, though, what has happened to us is that our profession of this faith has become anemic, and impractical, and so we have unconsciously stepped away from the faith; rather than tossing out our lifeless thoughts of what that One faith should look like

So, what can we do, Christian, when we are trapped with humanistic notions of who the Lord is and what Faith is?

The way out of our dilemma is His baptism:   yielding our mind, body, soul and spirit to His Lordship in order to embrace the One and only Faith.
