Good Morning, this is Michael De Rosa and today I want to talk with you about our roots. My text will be Genesis 1:26-27 New American Standard Bible
26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” 27 God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
I remember when I was a teenager, there was a growing fad to wear these huge buttons that communicated to others that you were proud of your heritage. Yes, we knew that we were different and we were not only content about that fact, but pleased to talk about our ancestry with others
Now, as Christians, our roots are in God! While we may not wear buttons to proclaim that fact, I hope that others will know this because of Christ’s love.
And, I know that others will be asking you why you are so different.
Just tell them that you are a King’s kid…and let that conversation unfold
