1 Corinthians 13:1-3Good Morning Friend, this Michael De Rosa and today I am going to be looking at 1 Corinthians 13: 1-3

If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. 3 And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned, but do not have love, it profits me nothing.

While we may enjoy the benefits of another’s help, if it is done with out love, something foundational is missing from that connection because God designed us to love one another, NAMELY WE ARE NOT CREATED TO ISOLATE BUT TO BUILD HEALTHY RESTORATIVE RELATIONSHIPS

Loving others in this manner takes discernment:

While we are aware of the obvious needs, we do not dismiss how these affect the spiritual need; and then, through prayer and action we respond accordingly.

Loving others necessitates that we become transparent:  firstly to God, and then towards others.

In Christ we are given all that we need to do this.
