Good Morning, friend. This is Michael De Rosa and today we are looking at Revelation 2:4-5
But I have this against you, that you have left your first love. 5 Therefore remember from where you have fallen, and repent and do the deeds you did at first; or else I am coming to you and will remove your lampstand out of its place—unless you repent.
While Christ did note the many good things this church did this paled in significance to their lost affections for Him.
You may well ask me, therefore, is that all that Jesus Christ, Emmanuel, Lord and Savior, wants from me…just to love Him.
My answer is a resounding yes: for, when we start to consider our to do lists and the priorities we want to place on each item our focus is not on our Lord
Does this mean, we do nothing, then?
On the contrary, loving Jesus with all our affections necessitate that we obey Him. And that, my friend, is summed up in His command to love others as radically as we love Him
Don’t put this off. He is coming back. Will you be found loveless?
