2-corinthians-5-10-living-well-in-spite-of-judgement

Good Morning, this is Michael De Rosa. Let’s look Judgement as noted in 2 Corinthians 5:10

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.

While this may seem to run counter to salvation by grace and not by works, may I ask you to think back to Jesus’s teachings on the parable of the talents found in Matthew 25 as I continue?

So… what I am discovering is this: being gloriously saved by grace does not imply becoming a heaven bound couch potato. Rather this challenges me to take my talents use them to God’s glory.

Am I excited about rewards? Sure, but they pale with the thought of being with Jesus.

And I just wonder if all this recompensing that Paul discusses has more to do with building deeper connections with Jesus!

So keep focused on Jesus every day of your life while remembering that God’s gift of salvation to you becomes your gift to Him

So work well, my friends.

Let me know what you think.

Blessings on your journey,

-Michael
