Ephesians 2:13,

But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ.

Listen carefully:  it is IN CHRIST that you have been saved. One too many Christians start out this way, but end up relying on their own strengths to live each day

Instead, remember this:

salvation IN CHRIST means reckless abandonment of our hopes and our attempts to solve our problems in our own strength in order to be unencumbered to focus on God’s lovingly leading us

Just think of a child standing at the water’s edge of a pool, fearfully contemplating jumping in.  And, then he hears his Daddy who says ‘jump, I will catch you’.  That child’s moment of   hesitation transforms into reckless abandonment as he leaps into his Father’s arms.

That, my friend, is what living IN CHRIST means.

Does your life show this or are you leaning on your own wits and strengths to go through life?

Blessings on your journey
