We will be 2 Corinthians 5:11:
Therefore, knowing the fear of the Lord, we persuade men, but we are made manifest to God; and I hope that we are made manifest also in your consciences
Did you know that our word ‘phobia’ is a transliteration of the word we find here: FEAR. And when we unpack this word, we find that phobia conveys an intense sense of inadequacies.
So, I think that Paul is telling us that he personally experienced how all his strivings for good simply were inadequate for him to even begin to comprehend who God is, and that this FEAR became the driving force behind his sharing the Good News
My friends, until we have a profound realization that all that we have accumulated and all that we have accomplished amounts to nothing in God’s scales of justice, our lives are lost.
Do you have such an urgency about sharing the Gospel message? Are your life choices declaring this before God? And, while we, too, can hope, like Paul, that others understand our efforts, we rest assured that God understands our actions.
