Good day, this is Michael De Rosa, and we will be Psalms 37:7
Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him;
Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way,
Because of the man who carries out wicked schemes.

Now, resting in worrisome conditions is counterintuitive and yet we can learn to do this because our Lord and Savior continues to marvelously orchestrate the events in and around our lives to His glory.

Just as an athlete becomes proficient in his sport by regular training, we likewise learn to rest through practice.

And, a very good way to start practicing is to become aware of the times our minds begin to wander towards unwholesome thoughts. Take them captive by reminding yourself that God desires nothing but good and that He will and can and does supply it We have all we need for holy living). Then, commit yourself to living with that mindset.

Friend, there will aways be things in this life that we can eagerly seek after; yet, our Heavenly Father knows and provides all that we need. So, seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness and discover His Rest.
