Good day, friends. Today we will look at James 1:2-3
Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance.
The older I get, the deeper His joy is to me. And it is not a sense of laughter or giddiness or always being able to see the brighter side of things. It is just knowing Him.
Or, to say it more substantially: it is God allowing me to experience His presence regardless of my feelings or my thoughts or the situation
Recently I was praying and reflecting about my younger years as a Christian, a time when the colors of my faith were more vibrant and crisp and exhilarating. And, I was asking God why I was now experiencing this shift towards more fall like colors that are not so bright… and sometimes drab. And as I sat listening, I sensed Him telling me that everything was OK, and that what I needed as a youth were those more sensational experiences of faith, and now He continues to give to me just what I need.
And that is JOY
How about you? Where are you in your journey of faith?
