Again, we are looking at Jeremiah 33:3
‘Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’
My friend this is a difference between reading God’s word and allowing yourself to become immersed in it.
Being only able to quote Scripture, and to even, know what it means stops short of becoming part of the Salvation Story.
One way to become a part of His Story is to ask questions, while bringing your life situation into the Context of the Story.
If you are new to this, may I suggest starting with the Gospels and one of the parables?
Here are some questions you could ask, while remembering that the point of all this is to hear His voice in your particular situation
Is there a promise that I can claim
Is there a warning that I need to heed?
Is there a sin that I need to confess?
Is there a command to obey
Is there a truth to believe?
Is there something to praise God for?
