Good morning, this is Michael De Rosa and today I want to look at 2 Chronicles 7:14 NIV
if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
God gave this promise to the people of Israel centuries ago, and it still is applicable today. Namely, God will grant us His success when we heed His covenant.
As I think about the many unhealed places in our land, such as unemployment, skyrocketing college costs, questions about marriage, raising children, interracial strife, inequality among the sexes, stigma towards the disabled, and the like, I can only marvel what God can and would do when we as the church prostate ourselves before His Throne of Grace and Mercy in order to seek His direction.
I dare say, that the first thing we would be confronted with will be our own sinfulness that we need to accept and confess even before we address others’ concerns
You see, my friends, the remedy to heal our land, is to see our own need for healing.
In closing, the question in NOT “Will God heal our land?” Rather, the question is “Are we ready for Him to do it?”
Blessings on Your Journey
-Michael
