And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.
Let’s look at this first phrase: do not be conformed to this world.
Conformity will rob us of our personhood as it desires to mold us towards accepting less than Holy Standards of living
That mold takes the form of being more mindful about such things as our plans, our jobs, our finances, our health than God’s will. And our individuality, our uniqueness in Christ will always be downplayed when we allow ourselves to drift towards being part of the proverbial rat race.
God has a calling on our life, which is to share His love with all those around us through the awesome way that God has uniquely designed you and me. And that can only be restored as we daily make a conscientious effort to Not. Be. Conformed. To. This. World.
