Psalm 37:24
When he falls, he will not be hurled headlong, because the Lord is the One who holds his hand.

Let me give a disclaimer alert: being Christian does not make you immune to suffering.

Falling, failing, getting hurt, enduring pain happens.

We do not get to choose when suffering occurs, and most likely it will happen at a seemingly worst possible time.

And yet, God is there! He will not let you suffer beyond what He knows you can endure. Now, what I am telling you is not meant to imply that you just grin and bear whatever problem comes your way: that you dig your feet in, close your eyes, plug your ears, and start chanting I can do it, I can do it.

Rather, during the suffering, if you dig down into God’s word, spend time in His presence, meditate on His promises, you will find that not only has He not abandoned you, but He is present, He is holding your hand.

The sense of touch is so important for our well being. When was the last time you experienced God’s touch, His presence?
