Last week, I shared about one way to interact with God’s Holy Word. I started this series back in mid August, and the links to this are in our blog so please go and look them over.

Today I want to talk about dealing with bothersome thoughts during our devotions

There are several ways these can dealt with. I will review one of them now:

What I have found most helpful is to not consider them as interruptions, but view them as stepping stones to help you draw closer to God.

Here’s what I mean:
Ask God to show you why this interruption is causing a break in your focus because in doing so I have discovered a need to address foundational concerns in my life that once addressed brought me into a deeper freedom to express my other requests to God.

Just remember, that while your schedule may be set aside at this time, God is not worried.
