I want to direct your attention to the topic of Judgment, and my text will be Hebrews 9:27-28
27 And inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgment, 28 so Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time for salvation without reference to sin, to those who eagerly await Him.
“Judgment” presupposes being measured against a standard, and that Standard is Perfection. Now think about this:
While we may have been graded on the curve during school, we will get what we deserve at the Judgment.
While we do everything in our powers to not leave any child behind in our school systems, some will be left behind at the Judgment.
While tolerance for all people is gracing our political landscape as the right thing to do, we are missing the mark of what it means to truly love others for the sake of the gospel.
So, in closing, I encourage you to live your life today worthy of the calling for which you were called in Christ, knowing that Judgment Day is coming
