Psalm 104:20:

You appoint darkness and it becomes night,
In which all the beasts of the forest prowl about.

I had a dream about darkness…. And I think I need to share it with you:

I found myself in an unfamiliar city during a very rainy night

I was lost, so confused, but longing to find the shelter.  The more that I tried to find my way, the sound of the steady rain grew louder.

And, as I was praying about this dream, I sensed that I was experiencing the darkness, the confusion and hopelessness without the comfort of God’s presence.  And, the only thing that brought me even a measure of hope was longing to find shelter, which I am seeing as the presence of God

Now, prior to sleeping, I asked God to show me how much I really needed Him.

And, I believe that through that dream of darkness, He did

The take away for me, that I share with you is this:  God really does appoint even the darkness in our lives to help us know Him more.

Have you found this true in your own life?
