Good morning, this is Michael De Rosa. Today, I want to call your attention to 2 Corinthians 5:6-8
Therefore, being always of good courage, and knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord— 7 for we walk by faith, not by sight— 8 we are of good courage, I say, and prefer rather to be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord.
There is a connection between being of good courage and faith. Living-out faith can not be rubber stamped upon any situation. Faith only becomes substantive when we face situations in His spirt of courage
Having courage presupposes that one is facing hardship, and Paul cuts to the quick of the most difficult struggles you and I will ever face: that of our own death.
And, Paul has this unshakeable confidence that regardless of the struggles, we have every reason to face our hardships triumphantly because of Jesus in whom we have faith.
God puts a high premium on us embracing faith in Him. And why is this:
- because God know that the Enemy will stop at nothing to keep us from following Jesus to live abundantly
So how courageous are you in the midst of challenges?
