Ephesians 6:22

I have sent him to you for this very purpose, so that you may know about us, and that he may comfort your hearts.

Don’t we all seek to be comforted when hearing about our friends’ troubles?

And didn’t the apostle Paul have such a friend in Tychicus?

And, isn’t there a yearning within each one of us to want to become that type of person, who can bring comfort to others?

Now…while becoming such a friend, and finding such friendships takes time to cultivate, that desire for such fellowship has been created within each of us by God Himself, who has also given us the ability to do just that.

This comfort giving and receiving is centered on our relationship with our Lord and Savior, who alone shows us how to be tethered to His loving care during the midst of any presenting trouble.

So, in closing dear friend, true comfort is only experienced when it is made known to us or through us, that God is ever present, all powerful, and wonderfully sovereign right in the middle of our storms.
