Isaiah 5-20Good morning, this is Michael De Rosa and today I need to talk with you about the slippery slope of   My text is a portion of Isaiah 5:20:

Woe to those who call evil good and good evil

Now before we start leveling this statement against societal evils , let’s note that Isaiah is addressing God’s people who have rebelled against His Absolute Standards.

While the world has a lot of negative things to say about God’s people, we need to realize that God calls us, that is, THE CHURCH, to proclaim His Gospel.     So being involved in church life for a few years, allow me to ask you some questions to help you out of any comfort zones to be all you can be for God

  • Are we calling our liturgies ‘good’ because they are well crafted, or do we dare to allow God to show up in His own way?
  • Are we justifying our limited involvement in ministry because of our busy schedules or are we asking God if all our alleged important things to do are necessary

My friends, if God is not involved in our church life, Isaiah’s pronouncement of WOE is aptly applied to us. Doing our best just won’t be good enough So, what are you doing to help your church to address concerns like this?

Blessings on your Journey

-Michael
