“If anyone wants to be first, he shall be last of all and servant of all.”

Good morning. This is Michael and this week we will be reading from Mark 9:35 out of the New American Standard Bible:
“If anyone wants to be first, he shall be last of all and servant of all.”
I experienced this scripture these past couple of weeks as I have been feverishly working towards getting my book published. I have had nagging thoughts that my book might become a best seller and I will make millions of dollars and these thoughts were just begging me to throw out my original purpose of writing which was –AND IS- to empower those with disabilities to live successful lives.
So, then, how do I, do you ward off this innate tendency to want others to notice us as all important?
The cure to inflated egos is likened to develop a humbled disposition towards Jesus.
And Jesus provides us with an acid test to show us we are already doing on that mark by illustrating all this in our mingling with little children:
He asks of us to give Him the same attention that we would give a child when we are intensely and totally involved in their interests
So, how well do you play with kids?
