Precis: I want to help others understand the need and the blessings that come from drawing closer to God
- the need to press closer rests in the fact that if we don’t, we will drift away…simply by doing nothing. (Hebrews)
- The blessings that come from pressing closer is to have more peace (more of Him) and to be able to help others find the same
- All this is promised by God. It is our choice.

In 2014 Satan will be alive and well. Don’t think otherwise.
Jeremiah the prophet wrote out ‘The Temple, The Temple, the Temple’. People at that time thought that the temple (or in today’s jargon, ‘the church’) could save them. That they were safe if they went to the sanctuary.
Well, let’s think about this. Are we. Satan goes to church…do you realize this. Otherwise, why do people leave the churches each Sunday taking with them the same problems that they went in with. There is this burden they are bearing, and that they continue to keep.
Have you ever thought about why is this? I mean if the Gosple message to help you why would people not want to give up their problem. Is it because of God?
If you think that Satan only shows up in rituals of witchcraft, or sexual orgies, or drunken brawls, or complete mayhem, or blood soaked sacrifices, then you have been duped. DUPED.
He shows up too as the angel of light, He is the best dressed person at the masquarade ball. He shows up in good intentions gone awry. He shows up with a bitter spirit towards another. He shows up in troubled homes. He shows up with Christians get too comfortable and put down their Bibles for self help books. He shows up when Christians grow tired or apathetic.
He shows up when praise is diverted from God towards those who just performed a wonderful worship song.
The only safe place to be, and to stay is right in the presence of God. Whether God has called you to the streets of LA with gangs, or to countries that have banned the preaching or the Gospel, or right here in America, to your local church: where he has called you, then STAY, and do His bidding.
That is the safest place to be with God. That is how to avoid the pitfalls in 2014
