Psalm 37:35
I have seen a wicked, violent man spreading himself like a luxuriant tree in its native soil.

Luxuriant trees can be nice to look at, but they can also be poisonous.

And, in the same way, the empires that wickedness build, the societies that they shape, and the wealth that they share may appear to be a good thing, but, alas it is only a veneer which covers a hot bed of iniquity.

And this is because the native soil from which it springs is evil. You can not get good fruit from a bad tree no matter how tempting it looks.

Now listen carefully, we must take care to not allow our 5 physical senses to override our spiritual faith when we are noting the accomplishments of others for all that glitters is not gold.

My friends, such luxuriant trees will grow. But, such luxury will be cut down one day. Please, don’t get caught up in its branches.
