Good Day this is Michael De Rosa and today I will be looking at Ephesians 1:5:
5 God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure.
I am overwhelmed a this because of my unworthiness: that God was pleased about His decision to adopt me?
Yet, as I ponder these two realities -my sinfulness, and God’s great pleasure to adopt me- I am coming to believe that this is right where God wants me to live because it keeps me in a place of continually longing for my Savior to cleanse me from my human weaknesses.
And while living with these two realities is very uncomfortable , it creates in me a longing to experience more of God’s great pleasure in adopting the likes of me; and, I know because I am experiencing this: that the more I experience this adoption, the less uncomfortable this tension will be.
So, in closing, Christian friend, do you know His joy over you because he adopted you? How well have you experienced this.
