God raised us up from death when He raised up Christ Jesus. He has given us a place with Christ in the heavens.
This phrase -raised up from death- is much more than an intellectual knowledge that God forgives sin so that one day in the future we will go to heaven when we die
Rather, it is a promise we are meant to embrace to such extents that we begin to grasp that we are new men and women in Christ. That just as sin had encased us in death, being raised up liberates us to see life from God’s vantage point, namely that all things really do work together for His goodness in our lives.
