Isaiah 66:1-2Good morning. This is Michael De Rosa and I want us to look at Isaiah 66:1-2

“Heaven is My throne and the earth is My footstool.
Where then is a house you could build for Me?
And where is a place that I may rest?
2 “For My hand made all these things,
Thus all these things came into being,” declares the Lord.
“But to this one I will look,
To him who is humble and contrite of spirit, and who trembles at My word.

In spite of all God created, it is the humble and contrite person whom he favors.

A contrite or crushed spirit only comes about when we become utterly aware that even on our best days, we have nothing to offer God in and of ourselves, but the crumpled remains of a person who is broken beyond repair
And, unless we come into the experience of brokenness, there will forever remain in us a disposition of self sufficiency, and that undermines God’s good and acceptable and perfect will for us.

Perhaps the question that we can ask ourselves today is this:
What do I need to do to come to the end of myself?

Yours in the Journey!

-Michael
