Good morning this is Michael De Rosa from the Mountainside Community Church. Our text is Acts 2:37
Now when they heard this, they were pierced to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Brethren, what shall we do?”
Peter’s speech moved that congregation out of their comfort zones. Prior to that, these people’s purposes were simply to live their lives the best they knew how.
But, when God’s word pierces your heart, your perspective on all things changes: the singularity of focus now became the reality that their lives were without the presence of God and that they were headed for eternal destruction
God in his grace and mercy provided them and us an escape: salvation in Christ.
We must move beyond the thinking that being Christian negates the earnest need to daily cry out to God for Him to pierce our hearts in order for us to see any hurtful ways in us so that He will lead us that day.
When was the last time you desperately asked God“What shall I do?”
